December OT Activity Ideas

Activities for December? That are approved by an OT? Look no further!

I've curated a short list of activities to do at home to keep your kiddos busy when they get restless this holiday season.

Fine Motor

A perfect decoration for your Christmas tree (or anywhere else you can think of!).This is a very straight-forward, and super simple fine motor craft made by yours truly! It's a basic color, cut, and paste activity with a Thanksgiving twist.

Gross Motor

Sensory

Executive Function

December is the time when families are getting together for the holidays, which makes the perfect time to bring out the family games. These three are among my favorites:HedBanzExploding KittensSpot-It

Self-Regulation

Create a calm down jar, but make it festive! Use a snow globe, or turn it into a snowman like this one. Rest assured that these are all activities that I have personally tried and definitely approve of. December is the perfect month to enjoy activities with family. There are many different activities that you can do, both indoors and outdoors. No matter what you choose to do, spending time with your loved ones is sure to create lasting memories.
